(NEWSER) - Forbes ranks the 100 most powerful celebs of 2008 (complete with tweens), and Oprah leads the pack for the second year running. Stars are judged on the size of their paychecks and media clout, including their showing on the Internet. Here's how the A-listers stacked up:

Some fears normal; others just weird

(NEWSER) - Friday the 13th is a good time to delve into the scary world of celebrity fears—and they run the gamut from the average (Johnny Depp is afraid of clowns) to the bizarre (Roseanne fears letting anyone touch her toes). More from the list, compiled by New York Post columnist Cindy Adams:

(NEWSER) - Talk show diva Oprah Winfrey continues her reign as the Queen of Media, topping Forbes' list of 2007's 20 highest earning TV stars with a whopping $260 million. Jerry Seinfeld came in a distant second with $60 million—mostly from residuals. They were followed by Simon Cowell ($45 million), David Letterman ($40 million), Donald Trump ($32 million) and Jay Leno ($32 million). More»

(NEWSER) - Kings of Leon had to stop playing mid-gig Friday thanks to a hail of pigeon poop raining down on them, but they’re not the only musical act that’s been forced to cancel a show for an odd reason. The Daily Mirror rounds up 10 more:

1. David Bowie: A 2004 Norway concert was halted when he got hit in the eye with a lollipop.
2. 50 Cent: Despite being pelted with bottles, cans, and toilet paper at the 2004 Reading Festival, Fiddy kept performing for 15 minutes and 1 second…because 15 minutes is the minimum amount of time he had to perform in order to get paid.

(NEWSER) - Lady Gaga debuted at an impressive No. 4 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list, while Oprah Winfrey reclaimed her top spot, dropping last year's queen Angelina Jolie to a meager No. 18. The top five "World's Most Powerful Celebrities:"

1. Oprah Winfrey: earned $315 million over the past year
2. Beyonce Knowles: climbed up two spots from last year
3. James Cameron: can probably thank Avatar for his high ranking
