Bride Sues After Shoddy Dress Gives Church Rear View

Posted Jul 7, 08 11:58 AM CDT in World Crime & Courts

(Newser) – A bride is suing the designer of her wedding dress for $40,000 after it ripped at the altar, revealing her rear end to the stunned congregation, the Daily Telegraph reports. The red-faced bride burst into tears and the priest averted his gaze when the $4,000 dress fell apart and she accidentally mooned her guests, according to the suit. The 2006 Italian wedding was completed, but the couple has since separated.

“This was supposed to be the biggest day of my client's life but it turned out to be the worst,” said her lawyer. “She was left extremely embarrassed because the stitching of her dress came apart at the altar, slid down and revealed her bottom to the whole congregation.”
