Brit Cuts New Album; Madge Touts K-Fed Reunion

Posted Jul 17, 08 11:51 AM CDT in Arts & Living Gossip

(Newser) – Britney Spears is busy rebounding from her yearlong downward spiral by working on a new album, her label says, while Madonna is said to be lobbying Britney and Kevin Federline to put in a live "reunion" appearance on her upcoming tour, the Sun reports. And if that's not enough, a postponement of the latest hearing in her custody battle is fueling speculation that an agreement with Federline is close at hand, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

"Britney Spears is spending her summer in the recording studio," reads a statement released by her manager and label."She's working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters. And we're very excited about what she's achieved so far," says her team bout the album. "Stuff we did so far is really dance-y, really up-tempo," one of the collaborators on her sixth album told Rap-Up TV last month. "Real aggressive and catchy. Very, very, very hook-friendly."
