Winehouse MIA at Hubby's Sentencing

(Newser) – Amy Winehouse was nowhere to be seen as a London judge handed husband Blake Fielder-Civil a 27-month prison sentence for beating up a bar owner, then trying to bribe the man to keep quiet, the Daily Mail reports. Fielder-Civil has already spent 9 months in the slammer, and with good behavior could be released in 4½ more.

Though a German model rumored to be Fielder-Civil’s mistress was outside court afterwards, his lawyer said the marriage remains intact: “They are very much committed to each other,” he said of Winehouse and Fielder-Civil, “and their ambition is to divorce themselves from hard drugs and not separate themselves from each other.”

    Reaction to Medication Put Winehouse in Hospital: Rep Amy Winehouse was hospitalized this evening for a reaction to medication and was expected to be released in the morning, representatives for the Grammy-winning singer said.
    An ambulance took Winehouse from her north London home to University College Hospital, spokesman Chris Goodman said. "Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow," read a statement released by Goodman and Tracey Miller, the 24-year-old's US-based publicist.
