(Newser) – Charlie Sheen is the highest-paid primetime TV actor at $825,000 per episode, but the Two and a Half Men star's $20 million per year pales in comparison to Oprah's haul. The media mogul took home $385 million last year, Reuters reports in deconstructing TV Guide’s annual list of top earners.

Law & Order star Mariska Hargitay was No. 1 for female primetime actors at $400,000 an episode. William Petersen, who will leave his full-time CSI gig at midseason, is the No. 2 man ($600,000 an episode). Simon Cowell took home $50 million for American Idol, and David Letterman drew $32 million.
