(Newser) – Britney Spears will appear in Quentin Tarantino’s remake of the 1965 cult classic Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! as a lesbian stripper with a penchant for murder, the Daily Telegraph reports. Spears' character will encounter a young couple in the desert, murder the boyfriend and kidnap the girlfriend—and make an appearance in a lesbian sex scene or two. No report on whether Madonna's signed on.

“Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. She's delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around,” predicts one Hollywood source. "It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She's playing the most important character."
