(NEWSER) - Elizabeth Edwards says her husband “made a terrible mistake” in having an affair, but he confessed to her 2 years ago, she writes in a Daily Kos post, months before her breast cancer returned, and "we began a long and painful process in 2006, a process oddly made somewhat easier with my diagnosis in March of 2007." She says her family had faced a lot of challenges together, and would get through this, too.
