Georgia Tops Preseason AP Poll

Six teams from SEC make the rankings

(Newser) – Georgia is the top Bulldog in the AP’s preseason poll, beating out Ohio State for the leading spot. The Bulldogs wowed voters with their 41-10 thumping of Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, after finishing the year with seven straight victories. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, disappointed in the championship game for the second straight year, but have 20 starters returning.

 Here are the top 10:

  1. Georgia
  2. Ohio State
  3. USC
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Florida
  6. Missouri
  7. LSU
  8. West Virginia
  9. Clemson
  10. Auburn
