Woods Family Awaits 2nd Tiger Cub

Posted Sep 2, 08 3:50 PM CDT in Sports

(AP) – He's done with golf for the year, but Tiger Woods found something to celebrate today: His wife is pregnant with their second child. The world’s No. 1 player said on his Web site that Elin Nordegren Woods is expecting in late winter, without being more specific about her due date, the AP reports. "Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled," Woods said.

The Woodses’ first child, daughter Sam Alexis, was born June 18, 2007. Tiger Woods, who’s been sidelined by a knee injury, called the setback “a blessing and a disappointment” that “has allowed me to spend a lot of time watching Sam grow. I can’t begin to tell you how rewarding it is being a dad and spending time with her and Elin.”
