(Newser) – After an 8-year hiatus, AC/DC is back—in black, one might say, as their album Black Ice is poised to go on sale exclusively at Wal-Mart stores Oct. 20, Rolling Stone reports. In 2 months of studio work, the Aussie rock icons churned out 15 new songs (including four with the word “rock” in the title) and plan a massive world tour beginning in October.

Black Ice reflects the band’s ‘70s rock roots, but it’s not just an effort to appease lifelong followers; fans under 25 accounted for nearly a quarter of the band’s sales last year, and 5% of fans are under age 12. The youngsters should identify with legendary ax-man Angus Young’s trademark schoolboy outfit, which he has pledged to don onstage at 53.

I was trying to just make people remember, 'This is the same band. I have missed this band. I love this band. Where have they been?'
