Jamie Lynn Decoy Dupes Paps

Teen mom sneaks out of LAX with some help from the cops

(AP) – Los Angeles airport police duped a crowd of paparazzi looking to get a shot of Britney Spears' little sister Wednesday by leading an unidentified woman—wearing sunglasses and looking away from cameras—down an escalator while the real 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears and her baby left the airport from another area.

"All (the officers) did was follow the crowd down to the baggage area," said Los Angeles airport officer, who denied any trickery. "The people they were following assumed that this was Spears because she was blonde." A TMZ.com video showed several officers tucked in tight around the woman, some giving repeated warnings to "keep backing up" and "keep moving."

Though it's generally against policy to help celebrities get through the paparazzi crowd, an official said they helped Jamie Lynn Spears because she was traveling with her newborn.

"If there's extenuating circumstances, we can do what we need to do," one officer said of helping Spears and her baby avoid paparazzi. "If there was no baby%u2014hey, you're on your own. You're an adult."   (AP Photo)
