(Newser) – Rumors that Britney Spears’ paparazzo ex-boyfriend is shopping a sex tape of the star during her drug-addled, depression-ridden breakdown have prompted her camp to act to squash the video—at any cost. While a Spears insider denies the existence of the tape to E! Online, the Sun reports that Brit’s team wants to buy the tape themselves to protect her comeback.

“Her lawyers have been working overtime. They’ve been told to do whatever it takes to stop the video making it onto the Internet,” said a Spears source. A pornography website is reportedly prepared to offer $9 million to Adnan Ghalib for the taped 2-hour romp in a Mexico hotel.
