It isn’t your typical get-out-the-vote strategy, but a Tennessee man says he hopes naming his new baby after the Republican ticket will get people to the polls, the Kingsport Times-News reports. Sarah McCain Palin Ciptak was born last week to a couple who’d agreed on the name Ava Grace. “I sort of secretively went behind her back and changed the paperwork,” the proud papa said of his unsuspecting wife.

Mark Ciptak said he chose the name in lieu of a bumper sticker or donation. “I don’t have a million dollars,” he said, adding that originally wanted to name his daughter John McCain. “I decided to actually name her Sarah McCain Palin, figuring hopefully I would get two weeks in the doghouse rather than two months.” Wife Layla was "speechless," he said. " I felt a lot of cold air come from her way."
