(Newser) – David Duchovny sued a British newspaper yesterday for the media flap it created by claiming the actor cheated on his wife with a tennis player, Reuters reports. The Daily Mail's story "is false—it never happened," the lawsuit states. Duchovny, who split from wife Tea Leoni several months ago after 11 years of marriage, is seeking $1 million in damages.
