(Newser) – Road rage following a Sarah Palin rally in Colorado on Monday allegedly resulted in one man pulling a loaded handgun, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports. Jack Cheskaty “wanted to be ready for anything” when another driver threatened to pull ahead of him in a bumper-to-bumper parking lot.

“If you want to get ahead of me you’ll have to deal with my insurance agency,” Cheskaty allegedly shouted at the other man, who reportedly replied, “I’ve got insurance too,” leading Cheskaty to brandish the .40-caliber piece on his steering wheel. “Dad, he’s got a gun,” came the reply from the would-be merger’s car. Cheskaty, 62, faces felony menacing charges.
