Gregarious Miami role player Antoine Walker was tied up with duct tape and robbed at gunpoint in his Chicago home Monday evening—his second robbery since 2000, both in his hometown. The forward was relieved of cash, jewelry, and his car, which was found abandoned yesterday morning. The police have not yet taken anyone into custody.

His mother said Walker was fine but shaken, adding, "He was hysterical on the phone when I first talked to him." Walker's previous robbery was in July of 2000, when he, NBA center Nazr Mohammed, and three others were accosted by robbers outside a restaurant. (More NBA stories.)
