Kate Winslet isn’t a demure lady, she just plays one on the screen. She’s got a shot with two upcoming films, one with famed on-screen flame Leonardo DiCaprio.
Not one to stand in the way, hubby-director Sam Mendes—of American Beauty—let the Titanic pair and their “wordless understanding” be the “unit” of Revolutionary Road. It will go head-to-head at the December box office with The Reader—starring Winslet and fellow Brit Ralph Fiennes—but Winslet isn’t worried. “How the hell did I get that lucky?” she asks instead.
