Sarah Palin went back to work yesterday and blasted the wave of critical post-election stories from anonymous GOP sources that have appeared in the press, the Anchorage Daily News reports. The governor said stories that she had greedily grabbed pricey clothes were way off and she never asked for anything more than the occasional soda.

Remarks suggesting she didn't know Africa is a continent had been maliciously taken out of context, Palin explained. "That's cruel," she said. "It's mean-spirited, it's immature, it's unprofessional and those guys are jerks." The governor said she doesn't plan to target Ted Stevens' Senate seat and while she won't rule out a run for the presidency in 2012, any future involvement in national politics would focus on Alaska’s needs.
