Palin Seeks 'Sign From God' on 2012 Run

Governor says 2012 run will depend on God showing her an 'open door'

Share

(Newser) – Sarah Palin plans to let a higher power guide her to higher office, she told Fox News last night. The governor wouldn't commit to a White House run in 2012 in her first post-campaign TV interview—but said she has always prayed for God to "show me where the open door is"—and will "plow through it" the instant she spots it. "Putting my life in my creator's hands—this is what I always do," she said.

"Even if it's cracked up a little bit, maybe I'll plow right on through that and maybe prematurely plow through it, but don't let me miss an open door in '12 or four years later," Palin added. "It would be very exciting to serve in a greater capacity." The Alaska governor also repeated her denial of campaign stories that cast doubt on her record, character and intelligence, blaming the wilder ones on bloggers "sittin' in their parents' basement, wearin' their pajamas."

Faith is a very big part of my life. And putting my life in my creator's hands—this is what I always do. I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. - Sarah Palin

I'm betting God will call her. I tend to find God is very reliable in that way. You never hear a politician say "God spoke to me and told me I was out of my league". Reply

Reader 38: Maybe God should have told her. Don't you think he was trying to tell her something this last time around? Take the hint, Sarah. Reply

It was a righty blogger from Colorado who still lives with his parents who launched her vp bid. How soon they forget, but given her minimal brain function, not surprising. Reply
