The election cycle is over, along with Tina Fey's impersonations of Sarah Palin and Amy Poehler's run on Saturday Night Live. Lorne Michaels has plucked two young female comediennes to help fill the gap, the Comic's Comic reports. Abby Elliott, the daughter of eccentric funnyman Chris Elliott, and Michaela Watkins are expected to make their debuts this weekend.

Elliott, 21, has voiced the "hipster girl" character on King of the Hill and has some notable YouTube imitations of Kirsten Dunst and Angelina Jolie. Watkins, who hails from a Los Angeles company that's been the stomping ground for several SNL vets, is already on TV playing Lucy on The New Adventures of Old Christine.
