Quantum Breaking Bond Record

Quantum of Solace expected to score the series' grandest US opening ever

(Newser) Quantum of Solace is poised to post the biggest opening weekend in James Bond franchise history, Variety reports. The blockbuster grossed $27 million in domestic box-office returns yesterday, when it opened in 3,451 theaters nationwide. The movie is expected to bank more than $60 million over the weekend, besting previous record-holder Die Another Day by $13 million.
