(Newser) – A record 4 million people are expected to pack Washington for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama, reports the Washington Post. Extra giant TV screens will be placed on the inaugural parade route and in sections of the Washington Mall to give as many visitors as possible the opportunity to witness the historic event.

"The mall actually may be the best seat in the house. It'll be like the world's biggest stage and auditorium" inauguration day, said the mayor. "By everyone's estimation, we will have crowds that will be two, three, maybe even four times as large as the largest inaugural."
