Ashley to Silda: 'Sorry for Your Pain'

Former call girl ready to move on with life

(Newser) – Former call girl Ashley Dupre is haunted by the pain she caused Eliot Spitzer’s wife, but insists her tryst with the former governor of New York was “strictly business,” the New York Post reports. Dupre tells People in a forthcoming interview that she didn’t realize who “Client No. 9” was until she saw him on TV announcing his resignation.

Dupre discussed her past and her illicit career path, claiming her mother was “supportive” when she found out how she was paying the bills. “Kristen” divulged that Spitzer was a “polite” client, but would not discuss details of their night together—or whether they had hooked up before. Now that she’s given up hooking for good, she said, “I want to do music, to do fashion, to write books.”
