(Newser) – A Florida teenager broadcast his hours-long suicide on an internet video-streaming channel as viewers watched, reports Newteevee. After threatening to kill himself on Justin.tv, the teen was egged on by viewers as well as posters on a chat room he used. The young bodybuilder, 19, took a fatal overdose of pills on camera, then lay on his bed for hours. One viewer eventually contacted police.

Close to 200 people were watching the video feed as police broke in, with some commenting "OMG" and "LOL." The teen, who went by the user name CandyJunkie, had reportedly threatened suicide before, leading some to believe his threats and the video were a hoax. Justin.tv's CEO had no comment on the case but stressed that it was up to the online community to report disturbing videos.

That's really sad. It's too bad that people didn't trace his IP for he killed himself.
