Burke and Hough crowned champs after perfect freestyle, Viennese waltz

(Newser) – Brooke Burke and her partner Derek Hough have been crowned the champions of this year's Dancing With the Stars, People reports. The pair scored a perfect 30 for their final dance and came out first in the viewers' votes. Burke, who beat Warren Sapp and Lance Bass to the mirror-ball trophy, is the third female contestant to be Dancing champ.

A 31-year-old male participant on Big Brother Brazil is accused of assaulting a 23-year-old woman on the show after she passed out following a party. (NEWSER) - This has got to be some sort of record: Jersey Shore and its cast members have now racked up 15 lawsuits in two years. The latest, courtesy of Courthouse News Service : A woman celebrating her niece's birthday at a bar in Seaside Heights, NJ, claims that drunk Jersey Shore cast members caused a brawl that eventually involved club security and show security. In the chaos, she was struck and hit her head, resulting in "severe and permanent injuries," according to her lawsuit. More»
