Militants torched more than 160 trucks in two Pakistani terminals supplying US-led troops in Afghanistan, AP reports. A security guard was killed in the assault at one of the terminals. While some witnesses reported hundreds of gunmen, a US official called the attack “militarily insignificant,” saying it would have “minimal” effect on its battle against Taliban insurgents. Still, the action likely raises serious supply concerns; some 300 trucks cross the border every day.

“We don't feel safe here at all,” said a depot manager. “It is almost impossible for us to continue with this business.”
