It's Bad: NYC Cabbie With MBA Posts Résumé in Taxi

La Salle grad drives taxi while awaiting dream job

(Newser) – A recent MBA grad who can’t find a job does have a captive audience: his taxi passengers. After four months of job hunting, James Williamson got his taxi license and posted his résumé in his New York City cab. There aren’t any offers yet, but the 25-year-old says, “I had a lady come in the cab who was giving me a few tips on my résumé.”

James Williamson is earning $140 to $180 a day behind the wheel and working six days a week - but with more than $30,000 in student loans hanging over his head, it's not a long-term solution.

It's a shame. I'm sure his education expenses can't possibly be covered by cab driving. Especially as there won't be as many wealthy cab riders to Wall Street. Reply
