(Newser) – Investigators in Florida believe a body discovered yesterday is that of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, a lawyer for her mother told a judge today. The corpse recovered near the Orlando home of her grandparents has been “tentatively indentified” as hers, based on hair color and other physical evidence, CNN reports. The sheriff's office denied that the body had been identified, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with killing her daughter, who was 2 when she disappeared in June. Defense lawyers maintain her innocence and were in court today seeking access to the autopsy and forensic evidence. After an autopsy, the county medical examiner will send the remains to the FBI lab in Quantico, Va.

hey jadenroze, you think anything that could happen to the bitch here would be worse then what could happen to her in hell? There are better ways to spend tax dollars then just "knowing someone is suffering"... I say lets get rid of the bitch because she's a waste of your oxygen!

I've heard the legal experts all agree that, given new developments, the death penalty will certainly be put back into the equation.

When I see the videotape of Caylee sitting at that table, reading a book and talking and then singing You Are My Sunshine, my heart breaks. When she gets to the line in the song You'll never know dear how much I love you, I don't think I can take it. Surely she is with God and will never suffer. Now, what to do with the sociopath mother. Of course, she needs to do life without parole. Death penalty? Too quickly over. Let her live a long life behind bars and think everyday why she's there. It might even help her unrealistic family, especially Cindy. Those people give me the creeps. There's so much of this that doesn't fit. The way Casey acts, as if she's still a teenage girl in a bit of a jam with the law, as if she's not a mom of a child who has supposedly disappeared at all. And Cindy? She's so unbelievable when she speaks and tries to make excuses. And George? He's told two separate and distinct stories about what the odor in the car might have been. And Lee? He and Casey were talking in some kind of code back in the summer when he visited her in jail. And he called her Darling. I still recall that as an odd name for a brother to call a sister.
