Death Threats, Blago Rumors Plague Emanuel

(Newser) – Fuming over rumors he was the Obama adviser who spoke with Rod Blagojevich about the president-elect’s Senate seat, Rahm Emanuel told ABC News today he's received death threats and the media have "intruded too much." Emanuel is not a target of prosecutors, sources told the AP late today, but reporters have been camped outside his Chicago home. He managed to elude them on his way to work today.

“I'm getting regular death threats,” an irate Emanuel told reporters at his home. “You've put my home address on national television. I'm pissed at the networks.”

You're wasting your time. I'm not going to say a word to you. I'm going to do this with my children. Don't do that. I'm a father. I have two kids. I'm not going to do it. - Rahm Emanuel, to a reporter

Where is the story in this "report"?! What an enormous waste of time and effort. Nothing but mean spir ited speculation backed by vapor. How can any editor worth his/her salt allow this to get published?

Another saying, "Innocent until proven guilty" PS the quote you want is "Methinks thou dost protest too much." Shakespeare
