(Newser) – The Northeast's weather outside was frightful, but elsewhere, audiences found Jim Carrey's Yes Man delightful, reports Variety. The Carrey comedy topped depressed box office returns with just $18.2 million, while Will Smith's drama Seven Pounds took No. 2 with $16 million—the lowest opening for Smith since 2001. The Tale of Despereaux, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Four Christmases rounded out the top five.
