Governor wishes she'd spoken to reporters more

(Newser) – Sarah Palin wishes she’d interacted with the media more while campaigning with John McCain, the Alaska governor told Human Events. Palin identified her “biggest mistake” in the ’08 campaign as not taking a more active role in communicating with voters through the media. “I was not allowed to do very many interviews, and the interviews that I did were not necessarily those I would have chosen,” Palin said.

Asked what the most important lesson of the campaign was, Palin mentioned learning to live with putting “my life, my career, my family, and my reputation” in the hands of McCain campaign strategists she barely knew. “I was in a campaign in which I did not know the people individually running the campaign,” Palin said. “That’s kind of a scary thing to do.”

If I would have been in charge, I would have wanted to speak to more reporters because that’s how you get your message out to the electorate.

I am used to proving my abilities by calling the shots. When others are making decisions for me, and I am the one to live with the fallout from decisions made on my behalf, that is something I am not very comfortable with.

Actually I wish she talked heaps more too - I really wanted to know which of the news media stuff she follows - besides 'oh ALL of 'em!' And beside's she is such a laugh. As Tina Fey said on The View about imitating her, 'we just took what she said and repeated it!' Which is ironic 'cos they're supposed to parody her! LOL. Comic's dreams are made up of people like Howard Dean, George Bush and Sarah Palin.
