Campbell Brown Leaves NBC

Veteran correspondent is rumored to be heading to CNN

(Newser) – In an emotional farewell on Sunday's Today show Campbell Brown announced her departure from NBC after 11 years. Brown, who has been talking about her pregnancy on air for some time said, "I'm making some decisions right now that I think make a lot of sense for me and my family. " Brown is believed to be going to CNN.

A Mediabistro.com blogger speculated that she may wait until after the birth to start at CNN. Campbell Brown was one of the hardest working correspondents on NBC, appearing on weekends and frequently filling in on the Nightly News and weekday version of Today.
