It's a Stressful Day—Have You Tried Shouting?

Survey ranks today as most trying of the year

Share

(Newser) – Today is the most stressful day of the year, as back-to-work blues meet the cold weather and economic gloom, the Telegraph reports. And a survey by RNLI found that co-worker behaviors such as noisy eating, sniffing, and talking loudly on the phone rank as the most annoying things to endure at work. But the remedy suggested by experts may surprise you: Throw a tantrum to beat the stress.

"Releasing tension through shouting and screaming is a really beneficial way to expel the negative energies caused by stress,” said one psychologist. “When stress threatens to overwhelm you, try a short sustained burst of shouting, or alternatively, go somewhere quiet, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to help calm you down."

I shout whenever I am angry...at my husband , at my kids,...they shout back and then we are all fine...no political correctness in my family...very healthy..much better than to keep your anger inside and pile it up...let it go and 5 min later you will be all smile again...If you keep it in your face will change and you will look evil and unhappy..
