A daring young harbor seal found herself in a gastronomic paradise yesterday after breaking into a fish hatchery in Cape Cod, the Boston Globe reports. The team called in to remove the seal estimated it had waddled almost 2 miles over dry land to get to the hatchery, where it was rewarded with an illicit all-you-can-eat trout buffet.

A hatchery worker found the seal happily gnawing at around 9am. It was soon netted, taken back to the water, and released. Rescuers were duly impressed with the seal’s overland trek. “It’s a good sign that she was healthy,” said one. “A lot of seals we see on the beach are not in such good shape.” (More seal pups stories.)
