(NEWSER) - If you've ever had the urge to wander the streets of Barcelona wearing nothing but a camera and a smile, you might want to do it soon. Surprisingly, public nudity is perfectly acceptable in the city at the moment—but later this month, the city council is expected to approve a measure that will slap those who won't cover up with a $700 fine, the New York Times reports. (NEWSER) - It was a bad year for movies—so bad that Burlesque got nominated for a Golden Globe . But “it was a great year for nudity,” Jim McBride tells AOL News . McBride runs the Mr. Skin website, which annually ranks the 10 best nude scenes of the year. 2010’s picks:

• Jessica Alba, The Killer Inside Me: It’s just a brief glimpse of her butt, but since it’s her first nude scene—and her best asset—it makes the list.
• Kirsten Dunst, All Good Things: She’s “never had a real nude scene in her career until now,” and her topless shower scene with Ryan Gosling “doesn’t disappoint.”

Some just want to be naked; others want to have sex in public

But Cap d'Agde, home of a large nudist population, is currently the site of a battle between “traditional” French nudists , and the new wave of “libertines” who are apparently into “free sex and partner-swapping,” the Telegraph reports. (NEWSER) - Emily Yoffe had already posed naked for a group of art students, so why not visit a nudist camp on behalf of her Human Guinea Pig column, in which she tries things the rest of us want to know about, but are too scared to do. "You've already crossed that line. Now live the lifestyle!" her editor gleefully instructs her. And the nudists certainly make it sound fun: "As the gate to a nudist club closed behind me, more than my clothes would fall away," she writes on Slate . "I would experience a relaxation so profound by being around lots of other naked people that my vacation would have double the stress relief of a regular vacation." More»
