(Newser) – When France's glamorous justice minister, Rachida Dati, gave birth to a baby girl this month, gossipmongers returned to a burning question: Who's the father? Speculation has centered on everyone from Spain's prime minister to Dati's boss, Nicolas Sarkozy. All wrong, reports the Post's Page Six, which fingers Gucci heir Francois-Henri Pinault—already a baby daddy for Salma Hayek and, rumor has it, Linda Evangelista.

"He's a playboy extraordinaire," an insider says of Pinault, 43. "He is a fils a papa, as they say here—a papa's boy, meaning he'd be nobody if he weren't the son of Francois Pinault. He isn't known to be the brightest star in the sky."
