This time a gaffe came courtesy of the other Biden: The future Second Lady revealed to Oprah today that her husband had been offered a role as either Barack Obama’s vice-president or as secretary of state, ABC News reports. Joe Biden laughed after his wife’s slip-up, which caused the audience to gasp and surprised Winfrey, the AP added.

During the commercial break, Winfrey repeated, “Oh my God,” Us Magazine says. Jill Biden recalled urging her husband to choose VP: “I said, ‘Joe if you are secretary of State you will be away, I'll never see you.’” Asked whether he was worried about being No. 2 after running for No. 1, Joe Biden said, “I think Barack was worried about it.” (More Joe Biden stories.)
