(Newser) – The grandfather of slain toddler Caylee Anthony was involuntarily hospitalized today after he was found in a search triggered by suicidal text messages to his family, MSNBC reports. George Anthony disappeared last night after sending text messages to his family indicating that he “wanted to end his life,” according to Florida authorities. Police also found a “5-6 page suicide letter.”

Police found Anthony in a Daytona Beach hotel by following the pings from his phone. Anthony, who hadn’t tried to harm himself, “basically said to us, you know, I just need to get away. I need to think things through,” said an official. On the way to the hospital Anthony remarked, “You don’t understand, do you? You just don’t understand what this is like.”

When you listen to Casey, she's more concerned about how she'll look and sound than about her little girl. She'll never tell the truth because what truth is there to tell when one squishes an ant?
