Pranksters whose future fortunes were battered by accused swindler Bernard Madofff festooned his tony Palm Beach digs with toilet paper over the weekend, reports the Palm Beach Post. Teenage boys called the newspaper to claim responsibility for the guerrilla tactic and blasted Madoff for wiping out their trust funds. The toilet paper was gone by the time police arrived at the Madoff home yesterday, and the housekeeper declined to make a report, officials said.

Palm Beach is home to many of Madoff's victims, and his multi-million-dollar mansion there has been the target of pranksters before. A $10,000 sculpture was taken from the property last month and returned with the note: "Lesson: Return stolen property to rightful owners." One resident called the teens' prank childish, and said the disgraced financier deserves worse.
