(Newser) – Elisabeth Hasselbeck is expecting her third child in August, and the pregnancy came as a surprise, People reports. “I didn't even know for 2 months,” the co-host told her friends on The View today, noting that she and her husband “were thoroughly happy with the surprise of it.” Hasselbeck said she had chalked up her lethargy to election fatigue, but “no—I was knocked up and didn’t realize it!”

The big reveal comes two months after her father-in-law made the happy announcement himself. (NEWSER) - There's one more tongue wagging about whether Carla Bruni is pregnant : father-in-law Pal Sarkozy. The octogenarian papa of French president Nicolas Sarkozy says that the pair are definitely expecting, reports the AP. "Neither wants to know the gender beforehand, but I'm certain it will be a girl, and beautiful like Carla," he's quoted as telling Germany's Bild newspaper.
