(Newser) – Fox is taking a gamble on the third Narnia movie, reports the Los Angeles Times. The media giant is stepping in to produce The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, slated for a 2010 holiday release. Disney bankrolled The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and the far less successful Prince Caspian, but balked at another sequel. Fox hopes to make Dawn Treader for about $140 million.

Yikes, the first two were terrible. I hope they don't continue making movies for all of the books, or Fox might end up broke with the rest of us.
