Bonds to Chase Slug Record in Enemy Territory

(Newser) – After missing his seven-game opportunity to break Hank Aaron's home run record in the land of his biggest fans, slugger Barry Bonds has left San Francisco for a three-game series in LA. "It's going to be chaotic," said pitcher Steve Kline, anticipating a less-than-sympathetic reception for Bonds from rival Giants' fans.

Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig, no fan of Bonds, will also be in the stands."This is beyond rivalry," Giants' outfielder Dave Roberts insisted. "This is history." The clubs have arranged to stop play "in a professional manner" should Bonds hit home run No. 756, reports USA Today. Barry is 4 for his last 29 against Dodger pitching.
