Campbell Brown: Bring It, Limbaugh

Tells Rush to shut up or put up after he slams colleague on stimulus

Share

(Newser) – CNN anchor Campbell Brown yesterday challenged Rush Limbaugh after he slammed her colleague’s economic analysis, the Huffington Post reports. After Limbaugh called business correspondent Ali Velshi “incompetent” on his radio program, Brown stepped in: “Rush, I would love for you to come on this show and debate Ali on the issues,” she said. “What we don’t need is nasty rhetoric and useless noise.”

It is all irresponsible trash-talk. I would wager that half of you that posted a comment don't even know what this spat is all about. furthermore contrary to what pmsnbc and cnn have been spoon feeding you, This is not the Great Depression part deux. The numbers show that the economy was far worse when Reagan took office, Thanks to Barry's first term also known as Jimmy Carter. In the first three months of 1982 the GDP was negative 6.8%, far worse than it is today. In 2001, the year George Bush (the man you all love to hate) took office, the economy expanded at less than 1%. Last year, 2008, the economy grew 1.3%. The economy doesn't have to be liberal vs. conservative, or Democrat vs. Republican. It certainly shouldn't be focused on whether one party gets reelected or not. This is about jobs and families. It's about solving a real, significant problem.and so far we are no closer to a solution.

Ryan, a nice little rant below with heady doses of the trash talk and labelling that you purport to despise. Unfortunately you forgot to grace us with your opinion of the Rush / Campbell / Ali affair. I haven't seen and I don't think we will ever see Rush debate Ali in any forum, other than the RL show. Rush likes to have things nice and controlled so he can shut off someone's mike when their getting their point across too well. But hey, it makes him millions.....so what if he looks like a fool most of the time ?...but for someone to take him seriously ?
