Former Louisiana lawmaker David Duke is slamming the Republican National Committee for choosing Michael Steele as its chairman, Bayou Buzz reports. Duke called Steele a “radical Black racist” and a “servile dog of Israel,” and suggested that the Republican base would not suffer Steele’s leadership. Duke served time for tax fraud and was once a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

“As a former Republican official, I can tell you that millions of rank-and-file Republicans are mad as hell and aren’t going to take it anymore,” Duke writes on his website. “We will either take the Republican Party back over the next 4 years or we will say, ‘To Hell With the Republican Party!’ And we will take 90% of Republicans with us into a New Party that will take its current place!” (More David Duke stories.)
