Time for Obama to Channel Foul-Mouthed Buddy—Again

Audiobook snippets are surprisingly timely

(Newser) – Now that things are getting nasty in the stimulus fight, the Boston Phoenix has a suggestion for Barack Obama: Channel your potty-mouthed pal Ray. In the audio version of his autobiography, the Phoenix notes that Obama does an impression of his high school friend, complete with f-bombs, racial slurs, and all kinds of good stuff generally inappropriate for civil debate—and downright jarring when spoken by Obama. But if the president is indeed losing the spin war, a Ray attack could be his secret weapon. Check out the audio for proof.

I feel bad for anything who tries to do something positive in Washington. There is too much bureaucracy, hostility and revenge, bloodsucking scum in Washington for the good ones to get ahead. Then when they can't get their work done, they are considered to have "failed". I'd actually be worried if Obama did succeed, since it would mean he just conformed to the existing corrupt culture and became just another politician. What we need is a revolution in Washington; a complete overhaul of how it works. I mean amendments to the Constitution and all. That's the only way we can rid ourselves of this predictable malaise where it's the same bickering over and over again and nothing gets done. Reply

bickering, hostility, juvenile arguments, narrow-vision : the foundations of democracy in general. All who have served on a decision-making board will know this. What can we do? nothing.

There's a part of me who would wish he'd address the GOP, doubters and haters with what is contained in the 'Boston Phoenix' article. I'll be honest, its not for the faint-hearted... I'll agree, what does P OB have to loose...? It's our economy, our lives - this partisan bullshit has to end! Because, before you know it, if we're NOT proactive and allow all this partisan carp to continue, we'll be so much deeper shit, that we may not be able to see the light of day when we finally do take reasonable action...
