Calif. Medical Board to Investigate Octuplet Births

Doc who performed in vitro fertilization procedures may have violated standards

(Newser) – California’s Medical Board is investigating whether there was a violation of medical standards by the doctor who helped Nadya Suleman become pregnant with octuplets, the Whittier Daily News reports. Suleman told NBC all 14 of her children were born through in vitro fertilization performed by one California specialist. “We are looking into the matter to see if we can substantiate a violation of the standard of care,” a board statement said.

This IS all about $$$$ isn't it? $150,000 per year in government benefits to rear all these babies is coming her way. I'll bet she thought she would get book deals, etc. You can always count on the public's interest in a freak show! What a world! Reply

I don't mind the "public's interest in a freak show"--vival el capitalismo--it's the government subsidization that pisses me off.
