Private jets may have become a despised symbol of high-flying corporate access, but that shouldn't make bosses too shy to fly, a new Cessna ad campaign tells execs. The ads, which boldly announce "timidity didn't get you this far," are part of a public relations push to fix the private jet industry's bruised image and vanished sales, Advertising Age reports.

Detroit bosses were ridiculed for taking private jets to Washington to beg for baiIout money, but Cessna's campaign plays up the image of corporate jets as "productivity tools" vital to many businesses. The company says it is trying to fight back against "misinformation" on business flying. "We have a big dog in this fight," said a Cessna executive. "We feel like we must take a stand."
