Knox Prosecutor: I'm Sane, and I'm Suing

(Newser) – The man trying to put away Amanda Knox is getting fed up with her supporters calling him “mentally unstable,” the BBC reports. Giuliano Mignini says he’s “never visited a psychologist,” and to prove it he’s taking legal action against the West Seattle Herald, which ran the derogatory quotes about him last month in reporting on a “Friends of Amanda” event.

The article quoted unnamed supporters saying Mignini is “using the high-profile Amanda Knox case to improve his dicey reputation.” The paper also reported that “some in both the American and Italian legal field believe Mignini is mentally unstable.” Mignini laughed off the allegations—“I am quite a healthy man. I don’t go to the doctor much”—but said they’re part of a systematic attempt to discredit him and influence the trial.

Believe her or not, she is still a frightened, somewhat naive young lady who choose to stay in Italy to comfort Meredith's father and stayed in Perugia to help the police rather than seek shelter with relatives in Germany. ..................................................................... Let’s flood her cell with Valentines (after Saint Valentine whose feast is on February 14. He was imprisoned, martyred and buried at the Via Flaminia north of Rome on February 14.) i think the honorable mignini needs to pay no mind to the state of seattle, they are acting naturally offensive because one of their is locked up in italy. look i am a mother and i feel for amanda, however i am pleased that justice was served for the victim meridith kersher and her family. so relax mignini there is alot of coruption here in the good ole USA aswell. this is one case that you got right. and i hope that amandas sentence is lowered in her appeals because in think she is not mentally stable.

The man is a NUTCASE and should be the poster boy for Prozac. What a pompus, overstuffed rooster! Yeah, I guess if you're not in Italy where he can trump up bogus charges against you, he'll come across the Atlantic to sue you if you say anything about his less than 'sterling' reputation! What a joke!! The man needs to be drop kicked to China. And what a joke their legal system is... he's being investigated by his own legal system, yet they are allowing him to prosecute other cases that are questionable? Absolutely insane.
