Bush Hits Lecture Circuit—in Canada

To Make first big speech in Calgary

(Newser) – Former President Bush is scheduled to give his first major speech since leaving office to an audience in Calgary, Canada, reports the Globe and Mail. Bush will address a private audience of 1500 at an event next month organized by the city's Chamber of Commerce. Invitations said Bush will speak on "eight momentous years" and current "challenges." The organization refused to divulge ticket prices

It would have perhaps been best if Bush had decided to stay out of the limelight for awhile, at least until the economy approved. Starting a lceture tour right now isn't a bright call.

Not speaking outside of North America is probably a good idea. Some other countries can't wait for him to travel so they can arrest him.
