Joaquin: Junkie or New Borat?

increasingly bizarre behavior churns rumor mills

Share

(Newser) – The case of Joaquin Phoenix gets curiouser and curiouser following the actor' shambolic appearance on the David Letterman show. The odd tics and nodding-off behavior that drew Letterman's scathing wrath are typical of a heroin user, Gawker points out. But many speculate that it's all a Borat-like hoax act by the thespian who insists he has sworn off acting for a laughable rap career. Complicating the issue is Casey Aflleck's documentary (mockumentary?) on the actor's career "transition."

I am so sorry for this guy, he is (was) a wonderful actor..what happened in his life??Does he have any real friends to take care for him.. And btw don't they (tv shows) check their guests for drugs/alcohol before allowing them to show up on screen? This is much worst than what happened with M.Phelps who hurt his image unintentionally... Good grief, if Letterman checked every celeb for alcohol or drugs before they went on air we'd be watching nothing but Dave's monologue for an hour.
